Located at 8 S Cliff, King Edward's Parade, this hotel boasts stunning sea views and a prime location that is hard to beat.

Guests have consistently praised the warm and friendly service at The Halcyon. Caroline Fearnley expressed her gratitude for the exceptional stay she experienced, noting the accommodating staff who went above and beyond to ensure her comfort. The hotel's proximity to the seafront and the town center adds to its allure, making it a favorite among travelers seeking both relaxation and convenience.

Esther Koster described The Halcyon as a "very clean and nostalgic hotel," emphasizing the beautiful sea view and the kindness of the lady staff. The blend of good quality at a reasonable price further enhances its appeal. For those seeking cultural experiences, nearby attractions like the Seven Sisters cliffs, Towner Eastbourne art gallery, and the historic Eastbourne Pier offer a wealth of recreational activities.

Although some guests, like David Rudgley and MarieA Martin, noted a preference for a full English breakfast instead of the continental option provided, the overall cleanliness and quality of the hotel have left them recommending it without hesitation. With its cozy ambiance and affordable pricing, The Halcyon is particularly appealing for hikers looking to explore the breathtaking landscapes of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head.

In conclusion, The Halcyon stands out as a well-presented hotel that melds nostalgia with modern comforts. It is a charming choice for anyone wishing to explore Eastbourne, offering the perfect setting for both adventure and relaxation. The combination of splendid sea views, exceptional service, and great location solidifies The Halcyon's position as an excellent base for discovering the stunning coastal town of Eastbourne.

Thanks so much for giving me such a great stay! I will be recommending the place to friends and family. Best service I can remember in a hotel (and I've stayed in a lot). Really friendly staff who were accommodating and always made me feel comfortable. They couldn't do enough for me. Great views over the sea, and perfect location for Eastbourne - the nicest part of town for sure. Rooms are very good value for money, especially when you consider that a continental breakfast is included (cereal, porridge, toast, jam, cheese, ham, fruit, etc). The icing on the cake was the free upgrade to the hotel suite! I honestly felt like a princess - what an incredibly kind gesture. A memory I'll always treasure, thank you.

Very clean and nostalgic hotel with beautiful seaview and very good beds and breakfast, serviced by very kind lady staff. Very good price/quality. Very nice area, with lots of nice restaurants, pubs and coffeebars. Hope to be back one day!

Location was excellent close to the seafront and town centre. Hotel and rooms were well presented and clean. Our issue was our expectation that we were going to have a cooked breakfast only to discover it was a continental breakfast. Now I appreciate that we might have missed that detail on the booking. Generally the hotel was reasonably priced and comfortable.

Small room but we had a very nice view. Clean. Bed ok, too soft for me but may be personal taste. A pity there is only Continental breakfast, no English. But I would definitely recommend for for the quality and cleanliness in comparison to all the other old style Victorian hotel nearby

A lovely B&B style hotel which overlooks the sea. A cosy experience and great value for money. A great place to stay if you’re looking to stay in Eastbourne to then hike from Seaford back to Eastbourne along the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head - particularly if you do it outside of April to August as there is plentiful free parking right outside on the seafront!
